This is a great comfortable walking shoe that I use for standard dress occasions as well. It is an SL-2 last that works well for feet that need height in the mid-sole and toes. With a new balance insole it is excellent for naturally flat feet (like mine). They are available in 6E for those with extra wide, flat feet. If you have flat feet, be careful not to get tight shoes, as your feet will spread on walking. I have been buying the same shoe (or its previous model) for about 5 years, so about 5 pairs. I see no reason to change because I like the shoe. My only complaint is that it squeaks when new. I use a little baby powder and that takes care of the squeak for awhile. Then I use baby powder again. Whenever I wear shoes. I prefer going barefoot unless it is below freezing.
I have been buying all New Balance shoes for years as I get best fit from them. I always have worn size 11 4E in this brand walking shoes. MW927 pair seem a size larger and wider than the rest of my shoes and in fact when I match them up sole to sole, they are obviously longer and wider. I had to compensate by adding another insole.
